Travels Along the Meanderway
Robba’s Knowwood Tree holds histories and tales of people living along the Meanderway, a winding land mass with wavy coastlines that battle the Saboteur Seas to the north and Ageless Seas to the south. This world, much like our own, holds all things needed for a healthy and happy life – food, water, shelter, and space to roam, think and dream – but, again like our world, there are those that strive to find ways to feel disappointed, unlucky, or wronged. Such fools then either try to drag the rest of us down with them or look to their neighbours with dangerous thoughts. Many do not seek to understand why the people next door cook their wheat differently, sing strange songs, or teach their children unusual lessons, instead they move across the border to enforce their own traditions, rules, and teachings. Why? Well, because making bread like that threatens the way of life, and did you not also hear the disrespect ringing through the chanting? And thus we have the basis for official maps and marked territories, international laws, allegiances, wars, winners and losers, and most importantly of all, the ordinary folk who could not care less about any of that because they have dogs to walk, plants to water, shops to open, and feet to dance…
